Booster Club Newsletter
WHAT A SEASON!
For the third season in a row, a group of us made the drive Boise Idaho. We drove down to support our team during the March road trip. We had a great time visiting with the Idaho Booster Club and making new friends, gaining great ideas, and seeing more of the town of Boise thanks to a great tour guide, Barry.
We watched the morning practice on Friday morning and got some hello’s and waves from the players as they came off the ice. They were happy to have some local fans there to support them. On Saturday we had a pre-game meal with the members of the Idaho Booster Club and exchanged gifts before heading to the arena and cheering on our respective teams. We will definitely be going again next season, as well as the possibility of doing a Vegas trip.
We had a great season with the Salmon Kings and are looking forward to next season. We are hoping to have many events planned next year where the Booster Club members and players can mix and mingle.

Summer Events 2010
24 Hour Relay May 29th – 30th
To finish off every Booster Club season we participate in the Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay. This will be the 4th year we have participated and we hope to raise $15,000 this year to support sending disabled children to Easter Seals Camp Shawnigan.
The following events are coming up to help us raise money for the relay, please come out and support us:
- May 8th - Bottle Drive: 10:00am-2:00pm, email us if you have bottles or cans to donate.
- May 9th - Car Wash: 11am-3:00pm, Admirals Canadian Tire- cars washed by donation- Marty will be there!!!
- May 15th - Sopranos Fundraiser: 5pm-9pm, $8 burger and a beer, pay to sing, no sing buttons, silent auction, door prizes!
- May 29-30th - 24 Hour Relay: for more information about joining the team email salmonkingsboosterclub@gmail.com

Goals that Give
The Salmon Kings had a very successful year and managed to rack up 258 goals and wins for charity. Over the season all of our fundraising efforts were geared towards raising funds for the Goals that Give program and we have been able to donate over $2600 to local charities in the name of the players.
